Paul Chaat Smith writes about art, politics, movies and music
from his home in Washington, D.C. He is the coauthor (with Robert
Allen Warrior) of Like a Hurricane: The Indian Movement from
Alcatraz to Wounded Knee, published last year by New Press.
Smith is a member of the Comanche Tribe of Oklahoma. His middle name is correctly pronounced as if it had a single o instead of two a's, and rhymes with hot.
